Kathy DiFiore says she’s doing “God’s work” by sharing her Ramsey home without charge with three pregnant teenagers and a young mother and her child. But state officials say she’s running an illegal boardinghouse.
Miss DiFiore, 37, who opposes the law allowing abortion and who has been sheltering unwed mothers for about two years, has accused the state of harassing her by obtaining a search warrant and ransacking her house in her absence. State officials have threatened her with a $5,000 fine.
