Since 1981 Several Sources Shelters under the leadership of Kathy DiFiore has saved tens of thousands of innocent preborn babies worldwide, but no method has been more effective than the use of a Mobile Sonogram Sprinter parked immediately in front of one of the oldest abortion clinics in the United States.  In less than 3 years, Our Gift of Hope Sprinter reduced the number of abortions by two thirds and saved over 2,000 of God’s innocent preborn children. Last year, nine young seminarians from Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University in South Orange New Jersey had the extraordinary opportunity to see a sonogram of a 20-week old preborn baby boy. Below are some of their comments:

For over twenty years, Several Sources Shelters has been assisting young women who have become pregnant, and have nowhere else to turn. Several Sources Shelters provides a home through the pregnancy and for up to a year after the baby is born. We provide love, counseling, parenting and other classes, and to the extent possible– job training and education.

Imagine how much better the future is for a single mother who has a degree or certificate as a Lab Technician, LPN, Jr. Accountant, or Administrative Assistant. She has a career that pays a better salary from the start and offers far greater security and benefits than the minimum wage job available to someone with no high school diploma and no training. Her child will benefit from her more stable employment and society will benefit from their success.

Several Sources Shelters, with the help of others, have provided financing to further the education of several young women and mothers from the shelters.  You can help Several Sources to continue this educational opportunity to more young mothers by making a donation.

How do you feel about what some people call the “old fashioned” ideas of chastity or abstinence?  Simply put, this means waiting until marriage before becoming sexually active and then staying true to your spouse for all your life.  Teaching these values to our young is a powerful way to prevent unplanned pregnancies and to save lots of heartaches.

We constantly teach chastity to all our young mothers.  Here they learn how to change their behaviors and their thinking before returning to their families with their newborn child.

Autumn: I want to teach my daughter that you should feel like you’re a gift to somebody else instead of thinking you’re worthless or just being used. I like the workshops because they teach you to respect yourself and that you’re worth more than you think. I want my daughter to look at somebody with love instead of impurity and I want her to know that she’s special.

Jennifer: I’m definitely gonna teach my daughter about chastity. That it’s better to wait than to give it up so easily to somebody. I’m gonna tell her to wait to get married before she has sex. I never learned that growin’ up…never got taught that…and I want it to be different for her. I plan to read her the Bible every night and to pray with her every night too.

Veronica: Theology of the Body makes me want to teach my daughter that it’s never too late to practice chastity. It’s better off if you DO practice chastity, because then if you DO find the right one, you give him your all, and you’re not “used”. I was able to teach my girlfriend the things I learned in chastity class. She had many questions about what chastity was…and even if you could be forgiven by God for having sex before marriage. I told her that it’s never too late to be forgiven.
